In Visit and Equity,  images document walking as a durational performance. Text fragments run parallel to the images. I am layering projections of language onto the streets of my home town. Experience is refracted through affect and memory as I navigate external and internal space.
Sometimes there's a moment of recognition between thought and scene. And when an image or text is erased, its absence is a rupture—a breakdown in perception: it's impossible to think; it's impossible to see. What isn't there is as important as what is. Fragmentation is both method and subject.
In these early works, I'm starting to look at tensions between personal and public life. Themes include memory, authorship, and unstable legibility.
